Severn Ambulance has been providing emergency care and training since 1994.

As a registered Charity (registered number 1150895), our dedicated team of volunteers are committed to providing the highest standards of clinical care. Our mission is to improve the health of the communities we work within, engage with the general public and healthcare professionals alike, to provide training in immediate care skills and spread best practice in emergency pre-hospital care.  We deliver these objectives by providing emergency medical cover at public events, undertake patient transfer journeys, support the statutory services and deliver training courses to the public and emergency care professionals. As a Charity, we will always endeavour to respond to any request for our assistance.

Although we are run as a Charity, our members pride themselves in the professional standard of care they deliver. We run a modern, well equipped fleet of front-line ambulance vehicles, and have a number of difficult terrain access vehicles and 4x4s. We work along-side the statutory ambulance service where needed, and engage in projects supported by the Local Resilience Forum. Our members include paramedics, doctors, ECPs, nurses, professional ambulance service staff and first aiders, all of whom are indemnified and registered with the appropriate regulatory bodies, regularly and comprehensively trained, and committed to a programme of CPD.

The organisation is lead by an experienced management committee and supported by a diverse and dynamic volunteer membership. The organisation runs a rich programme of training courses, including our own internal ‘Event and Prehospital Emergency Care’ course.

So, if you are looking for medical cover at a planned event, urgent support in a crisis, arranging a patient transfer or repatriation or for high-quality training, contact us and see how we can help. We are also able to provide ad-hoc healthcare logistics support and become part of your service delivery contingency plans. Please contact us for further information or advice on emergency planning and business continuity.
